Three card-lottery rounds we track ended between October 15 and October 18: a Chasse à l'As de cœur run by community radio in northwestern Quebec, and two Ontario Catch the Ace games, one run by a Lions club and one by a Legion branch. A fourth Quebec game has also closed. Here's what each organiser has published.

Radio Boréale / CIBO-FM: $51,633 after 33 draws

CIBO-FM's official page announced that the jackpot of La Chasse à l'As de cœur was finally won at the 33rd draw, on Thursday, October 15. The winners are a group from Amos, led by a player the station names as Huguette L.

Weekly prize$1,330
Accumulated jackpot$50,303
Total won$51,633, as published by the station

The game was organised by Radio Boréale in collaboration with CIBO-FM, the community radio station in Senneterre, Abitibi. Draws ran on Thursdays and were broadcast live. The station hasn't announced a next round on that page. See the official CIBO-FM page and our Radio Boréale listing.

Lions Club of Land O'Lakes: Ace of Spades in week 32

In Northbrook, Ontario, the Lions Club of Land O'Lakes posted its Week 32 result from the Sunday, October 18 draw:

Winning ticket#E374, belonging to Margot S.
Envelope chosen#18, which held the Ace of Spades
Amount won$39,928

The round started with its first draw on March 15, 2026. Under this licence (AGCO RAF1531394), each week's ticket sales were split 20% to the weekly winner, 30% to the progressive pot and 50% to the club for community projects, after expenses. Splits differ from one licence to the next, so don't assume another game works the same way.

The club's 71 members support local groups including Land O'Lakes Community Services, the Land O'Lakes Community Food Bank, Pine Meadow Nursing Home and North Addington Education Centre. Ticket sales are now paused on the site. See the official Land O'Lakes Lions page and our Land O'Lakes listing.

Wallaceburg Legion Branch 18: a quick finish

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 in Wallaceburg posted on its Facebook page on the evening of Friday, October 16: "THE ACE HAS BEEN FOUND!" A player named as Mike O. found the Ace of Spades in envelope #39 and won $3,302. The round only began this fall, so the deck went quickly. The branch says to stay tuned for the start date of its next Catch the Ace. See the Branch 18 Facebook page and our Wallaceburg listing.

Also closed: L'As de cœur FLO 96,5 in Rimouski

The ticket page for Rimouski community radio FLO 96,5's Ace of Hearts game now reads "Le jeu est terminé", and online ticket sales are unavailable. The station hasn't published a winner, a final jackpot or a restart date there, so we've marked the game as ended and will update the FLO 96,5 listing if it does. Official page: billet.flofm.ca.

All four now appear on our Recently caught page.

Thirty-plus draws or just a few: why the timing varies

A round can end in its first month or run close to a full deck, and neither means anything went wrong. Each week, one ticket is drawn and that player's envelope is opened. Two separate odds are at work:

  • The chance your ticket is drawn depends on how many tickets are sold that week.
  • The chance the envelope holds the Ace, if your ticket is drawn, depends on how many envelopes are left: 1 in 52 at the start of a standard deck, and better as cards come out.

A small deck makes the Ace more likely to turn up when a ticket is drawn. It doesn't make any one ticket more likely to be drawn. Our How it works guide covers the full mechanics.

Where the biggest pots are now

With these rounds closed, the largest live jackpots on our site (October 26 reads) are Loto Dame de Cœur in Quebec at $5,737,628 and Russell Catch the Ace in Ontario at $490,000 (an estimate published by the organiser). Licensing and playing responsibly

These are licensed charitable lotteries. In Ontario, the regulator is the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), which issued Land O'Lakes' licence. In Quebec, lotteries are licensed by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ). You generally need to be physically in the province to buy a ticket (Land O'Lakes' rules require players to live in Ontario) and to meet the age limit in the lottery's rules (18+ for Land O'Lakes).

Treat a ticket as a donation with a chance to win, set a budget before you buy, and don't raise it because a pot is growing. If gambling stops being fun, free and confidential help is available: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600 and, in Quebec, Jeu : aide et référence 1-800-461-0140. Help lines for every province are on our responsible gambling page.

Play the Ace is an independent tracker. We don't sell tickets or run any of these lotteries. Always confirm details with the organiser before buying.
