Loto Dame de Cœur: a Queen of Hearts twist
Loto Dame de Cœur is run by the Fondation Santé Outaouais in Gatineau and is now in its fourth edition. It plays like Catch the Ace (Chasse à l'As in Quebec) with a different target card: the progressive jackpot goes to the drawn ticket holder whose envelope holds the Queen of Hearts. According to the official site:
- The jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows each week.
- The weekly winner takes 20% of that week's ticket sales. The week 21 weekly prize shown on October 26 was $123,368, and it grows as tickets sell until the draw.
- The other three queens pay secondary prizes (a trip, a grocery gift card or a car), each with a cash option.
- Half of all ticket sales go to the foundation.
Draws are Wednesdays at 8 a.m. It's licensed by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ), licence L-05402, and the site marks the game 18+. Online purchases are checked by geolocation, so you need to be in Quebec. Official site · more Quebec draws on our Chasse à l'As Québec page.

Deep in the deck
Want the rounds closest to the end instead of the biggest? Our companion post covers every live round with 15 cards or fewer (Decks getting small). Keep the two odds separate: a smaller deck raises the chance the envelope is the Ace if your ticket is drawn. It doesn't change the chance of your ticket being drawn, which usually shrinks as a pot grows and more tickets are sold. The full explanation is on How Catch the Ace works, and you can sort every live lottery by jackpot or by fewest cards on our full list.
Licensing and playing within a limit
Each of these lotteries is licensed in its own province, by the AGCO in Ontario, the RACJ in Quebec and the LGCA in Manitoba. You generally need to be physically in that province to buy, and age limits (18+ or 19+) are set by each lottery's rules. Prize splits also vary by licence, so read the rules before you play.
The point of these games is the local cause. Set a budget before you buy and don't raise it because a jackpot is climbing.
