Our weekly search for Catch the Ace lotteries across Canada turned up new games this week. We verified each one on the organiser's own site before listing it. Six are now on Play the Ace: three in Ontario, two in Quebec and one in New Brunswick. Some are well into a round; one has just started; one has already finished.

Three of them chase the Ace of Hearts rather than the Ace of Spades, which is common in Quebec and parts of Atlantic Canada. The game is the same: one ticket drawn each week, one envelope opened, and the jackpot grows until the Ace turns up. If you're new to it, start with How Catch the Ace works.

Figures are as published by each organiser on the date shown. "—" means the organiser doesn't currently publish that figure online. Always confirm on the official page before buying.

Licensing and playing responsibly

These are licensed charitable lotteries: by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) in Ontario, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ) in Quebec, and New Brunswick's Department of Public Safety (Gaming Control). You generally need to be physically in the province when you buy and meet the age limit in each lottery's rules (18+ in Ontario and Quebec; Bathurst's is 19+).

Set a budget before you buy and treat tickets as a donation with a chance to win. If gambling stops being fun, free and confidential help is available: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600, Jeu : aide et référence 1-800-461-0140 (Quebec), New Brunswick Gambling Information Line 1-800-461-1234. Help lines for every province are on our responsible gambling page.

Play the Ace is an independent tracker. We don't sell tickets or run these lotteries.
