Catch the Ace in Ontario: Every Big Jackpot, October 2026
By Avery Chase Ellis · Last verified October 26, 2026 · Checked at the source
Ontario has more Catch the Ace lotteries than any other province, and October 2026 is a busy month: one pot closing in on half a million dollars, three more above $200,000, a 42-week deck down to its last few cards, and seven rounds that started in the past six weeks. Here's where every notable Ontario draw stands, read at each organiser's official page on October 26.
If you're new to the game, the rules are on our How it works page. The short version: one ticket is drawn each week, that player opens the envelope they chose, and the round ends only when the Ace of Spades turns up.
Russell: $490,000 and counting
The Kin Club of Russell's Catch the Ace (CTA 8) is the one to watch. The official site lists an estimated jackpot of $490,000 going into week 29, with the next draw on Sunday, November 1, at 3:15 p.m., streamed live on the club's Facebook page.
The pot has added roughly $20,000 to $25,000 a week this month: our readings of the same page showed $419,000 on October 8, $442,000 on October 12, $467,000 on October 19 and $490,000 on October 26. The most recent posted result (week 28) was envelope #43, the 8 of spades, with a weekly prize of $15,492.
Round 8 began on April 19, 2026 under AGCO licence RAF1460560. The club says the game is 100% volunteer-run and that 87% of all funds go to local charities; its site puts prizes awarded to date at over $8.68 million and money raised for charities at $8.28 million across its rounds. Online ticket sales close Saturday at 10 p.m.; paper sales close at noon on draw day. Details on the Russell listing.

"—" means the organiser doesn't publish that figure. *Hospice Niagara doesn't post a card count; 11 is calculated from its published week and confirmed rules (52-card deck, one envelope per draw), the same method marked with an asterisk on our listings. †Burlington Legion's Catch the Ace has a commercial relationship with Play the Ace; it's listed here on the same terms as every other lottery. All 41 live Ontario rounds, including the smaller community draws, are on the Ontario Catch the Ace page.
The decks running low
Jackpot size and deck size tell different stories. Hospice Niagara is at week 42 with roughly 11 envelopes left and a $78,678 pot; its draw is Thursday at 3 p.m. OFAH (28 left), Burlington Legion (30) and PRH (33) are past the halfway point too. A smaller deck raises the chance that a drawn ticket's envelope holds the Ace; it does nothing for the chance your ticket is drawn, which depends on how many are sold. Keep both halves straight before you read a "nearly over" round as a good bet. The smallest decks across Canada are in Decks getting small; Saskatchewan's Lumsden Lions round ends with a final draw this Thursday.
Fresh decks
Seven Ontario rounds are in their first six weeks:
- Kinsmen Club of Stratford restarted after its last round ended in week 4 on October 2. Week 1 of the new round draws Friday, November 6, 11:30 a.m., with an opening pot the site lists as $2,500.
- Catch the Ace in Support of Autism Moves (OSEG Foundation, Ottawa) is back on the board at week 2, $3,362. Draws Wednesdays.
- Kincardine Catch the Ace (Huron Shores Hospice and Tiverton Lions): week 2, $1,000, draw Wednesday, October 28, 4 p.m.
- Byron Legion Catch the Ace III (London): week 2, $13,500, draw Sunday, November 1, 4 p.m.
- SickKids Catch the Ace: week 4 and already $53,708.
- Julia's Catch the Ace Dunnville: week 4, $1,350, draws Mondays at 8 p.m.
- Barrie Legion Catch the Ace: week 6 and already $66,000, the biggest pot among the young rounds.

Licensing and eligibility in Ontario
Catch the Ace is a progressive raffle licensed under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) framework; each lottery above carries its own licence number, shown on its official site and on its Play the Ace listing. Under AGCO's rules you must be 18 or older and physically in Ontario when you buy, which is why online ticket sites check your location. Prize structures — how much of each week's sales goes to the weekly prize, the progressive pot and the charity — are set per licence, so read the rules page of the lottery you're playing rather than assuming they're all the same.
New rounds, every week
Ontario rounds start and end constantly: seven of the lotteries in the table draw this Thursday alone. To hear which pots moved and which Aces were caught, sign up for the weekly jackpot email, or sort the full list of lotteries by jackpot or fewest cards left.
Play for the cause, within a limit
Every ticket is first a donation to a hospital, hospice, Legion branch, food bank or service club. Set a budget before you buy, treat the ticket as giving with a chance attached, and never chase a growing pot with money you need. If gambling stops being fun, free and confidential help is available: in Ontario, call ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 or visit connexontario.ca. Play the Ace is an independent tracker. We don't sell tickets or run any of these lotteries. Always confirm jackpots, draw times and rules on the organiser's official site before buying.
